"Clandestine has developed quite a following here in the past two years...what started out as a pipe band in 1991 has evolved into a high energy Celtic band. The group rocks as much as any pop band."
"Sooner or later, a band playing the traditional music of the British Isles is going to come out of our city and become successful enough to be referred to as "the New Pogues"...my money is on Clandestine."
"Clandestine's piper, E.J. Jones, is so good on the pipes that he's enjoyable indoors, and his reels and marches show the true potential of his oft-maligned instrument."

History
Flemish horses were developed in the 15th Century to carry heavily armored Knights onto the battle and tournament fields of Europe. Also called “Great Horses”, “High Horses”, and “Destriers”, the legendary Flemish horse was fierce, expensive to own and used only for war. He and his mounted Knight were to medieval armies what tanks are to our military today. As the weapons of warfare transitioned from sharpened steel to long-range gunnery, Knights were forced to choose lightening speed over the shock of heavy cavalry and the Flemish horse was respectfully retired from frontline military service. While only a few of their noble breed remain today, they are the patriarchs of all modern draft horses such as Clydesdales and Belgians.
A Tradition of Strength and Honor
In the tradition of his ancestors, Max thrills thousands of children each week as a jousting steed with The Knights of The Guild. The Knights of The Guild is a publicly supported nonprofit organization that teaches good character, ethics and self-worth to schoolchildren across the nation. Max serves as an inspirational symbol of strength for kids to remember when they must choose between right and wrong.
