Scottish-Irish Faire 2008

Tentative PIPING and BAND Workshop Schedule.


When you arrive at the Horseshoe Center go to where you here Piping.
Musicians will be admitted free, friends and family will have to pay admission.
A secure classroom is available for instruments and equipment in the equestrian arena at North end of complex.
Ray Hughes of Hughes Bagpipes will be at the Festival with supplies, instruments etc.




FRIDAY Horseshoe Center
7:30 PM Chanter Tuning / Playing in Tune / ATTACK and CUT OFF
Ends when we give out, then have a little fellowship, weekend planning and maybe a Guiness or two.




SATURDAY Horseshoe Center
10 - Noon Abilene Pipers
Noon - 1 LUNCH
1PM - 2 PM Practice Chanter Students
2 PM - 4PM Bel Air High School Pipe Band
4 PM - 5PM OPEN
5 PM - 6PM OPEN
6 PM - 7PM SUPPER
7 PM - TIL OPEN




SUNDAY Horseshoe Center
10 - 11 OPEN
11 - Noon OPEN
Noon - 1 PM Massed Band Preparation
1 PM Massed Bands at Ceremony - LUNCH
1 PM - 2 PM OPEN
3:15 Ken Flies out


The Lubbock Pipe Band will be performing 3 times during the day Saturday, so we will work with Ken during one of the OPEN times.


We will fill in the OPEN times with Practice Chanter, Grade 4 March/Strathspey, Tuning and Tone, Tune Arrangement etc. after everyone arrives, to make best use of the time we have with Ken.


I tried to make the Band times convenient for traveling.
